Story Tuesday | Jordan-Paige
With Paige being my middle name, I can only compare it to the several pages we've turned in this crazy book called "Life". I believe God is the Author of everyone's life and He intentionally creates daily story lines so that we can have stories to tell about His goodness. Although God is the Author, He still gives us the privilege to take part in our own stories by making us the writers of it. Being completely honest and transparent, I have been in a place of being stagnant and feeling complacent. Most days I have become so overwhelmed with everything in my life from goals I set to accomplish this year, to making sure my relationship with God is on point, to saving more and eating healthier, and to making sure I'm being intentional about the people and things in my life. Having a lot of responsibilities on my shoulders and feeling like my life isn't getting any easier, the things I need to do aren't going away and has caused me to feel stuck; and in this case, it feels like I've been stuck on the same "paige" for too long due to my laziness, lack of motivation, and procrastination.
Without a doubt, I have been holding myself back from the things God may want to show me and give me in the next "paige" of my life right now, but since I am the writer, He can't force me to "Turn The Paige", because its something I have to choose to do myself. Through encouragement from my friends and family, lots of prayer and spending time with God, He has not only reminded me, but encouraged me that I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me. (Philippians 3:14). As often as that scripture has been used and heard of, it has never spoke as deeply as it has to me in this current chapter of my life. God told me that my goals may sound huge and overwhelming, but through Him nothing is impossible for me to withstand or accomplish. I am sharing my story to encourage anyone who may feel stuck and wants to progress and move forward, but may be having a hard time doing so. Know that you are not alone, give yourself grace to try again, and remember that progress is always better than perfection. When we are weak, God is strong. "But He said to me. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness," Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ power may rest on me." ( 2 Corinthians 12:9)
It's time for us to "Turn The Paige" and receive everything God has for us. "
